Repositioning a national brand to target a new breed of air travellers while remaining loyal to existing customers is not an easy task, but newly appointed creative agency KesselsKramer stepped up to the challenge for Irish airline, Aer Lingus. In their first move to target rival budget airline passengers, the agency launched a brand film focusing on “smart travellers” making their journeys with the assistance of Aer Lingus crew.
KK Outlet – the London outpost of KesselsKramer – approached Project Manager Jess to develop a board-o-matic (mood film) for the film’s concept. Working with the agency Creative Director Richard Walker and Producer Olly Ravaux, our artists visualised a series of 18 colour frames depicting scenes from within Dublin Airport. These were then edited together by our production team and delivered as an animation within a week deadline.
We are delighted to see the brand film developed for screen; filmed at Dublin Airport, starring real cabin crew and featuring a voiceover from Chris O’Dowd, it’s a satisfying end to a successful project.
