As much as Gill in finance wishes the opposite, we don’t actually spend every waking, working hour on paid client projects.
The big challenge in an industry that wants everything yesterday is being prepared for when everyone (simultaneously for some reason) comes a’calling. Guaranteeing preparedness means an investment in our stock image banks. In our case, that meant throwing a party!
Our clients require a complete age spectrum of actors. But while stock footage of adults and babies is readily available; you wouldn’t believe how hard it is to generate realistic, natural imagery of children. (Personally, we blame the stage schools.)
“It’s not often Gill will write off jelly, ice cream and party bags as a corporate expense”
To redress the balance, we threw a huge kid’s party, complete with Twister, Connect 4 and the Hokey-Kokey.
It’s not often Gill will write off jelly, ice cream and party bags as a corporate expense. However, as clients demand for realistic little people (children, not Hobbits) increases, so must our image banks.
